Summer Concert 2010

Senior Infants did a play called, 'Humpty Dumpty, was he pushed or did he fall?. First class performed 'Hanzel and Gretal'. The third class play was 'Charlie and the Chocolate factory' and sixth class did 'Oliver'. The girls practised in the PE hall and performed a dress rehearsal for the rest of the school on the day of the play. They worked for a few weeks and the plays were brilliant. The concert was performed on three different nights. We really enjoyed them. Well done girls!

Christmas Concert 09

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the Junior Infants, 2nd class, 4th class and 5th class did their play. They practised very hard every day in the classroom or on the stage. They went over their lines every night and some people brought in their own costumes. All three nights, the hall was packed, with loud cheers and laughs all night. Each class performed their play brilliantly and we think the audience enjoyed each play just as much as we did! Everyone who was in the play was really excited and would love to do it again.

Concert 06

On the 27th, 28th and 30th of March different classes performed plays. Junior infants did “The Little Red Hen”. Second class did “Jack and the Beanstalk”. Third class did “Volcanoes” and fifth class did “Oliver”.
One of the best parts of the play is preparing for it! I love the suspense before the teacher calls out the parts, then going down to the hall to practice. I don’t think I can remember a time when I didn‘t want to rehearse the play. I also love trying to get my costume together, and then getting to see everyone else’s. On the night our class was buzzing. Everyone was so excited. We just couldn’t wait to go on stage. By the time we got to go on stage the audience seemed a bit tired but our amazing performance soon woke them up again! When we had finished singing our final song the applause from the audience nearly took the roof off! It was one of the best feelings I have ever had. I think these were the most fun and definitely the best plays we have ever done. Don’t you?
