Our Work

Our Gaelic Football Team 06/07

We train hard every Tuesday after school in the VEC grounds. We have four coaches looking after us ; Ms. Kearney, Ms. Melly, Mrs. Carney and Aisling from Templeogue/Synge Street. We lost our first match against Hollypark on a very wet day . We then had a few victories in a row against Scoil San Treasa , Saint Brigids and Sandymount. We played Bishop Galvin in Terenure College. It was a great game in very wet and windy conditions and we won 4 goals and 6 points to 1 goal and 2 points . There was a three way tie at the top of the group and unfortunately things didn't work out for us. We have a lot of pride when we put on our wine jersies and we hope to continue playing in the coming months. Hopefully we will take part in a tournament after Christmas with some local schools.

Gaelic Football 07/08

Every Monday after school we all go to the VEC grounds and train hard. Our coaches are Ms. P. Kearney and Ms. C. Carney. On Wednesdays after school we usually have a match. Our first match was against Hollypark which was a draw. Our other matches were against Scoil Maelruain, Scoil Thomais, Scoil Treasa, and Bishop Galvin and we won all of them!

Rain or shine we always play our best. Our coaches are great too! We have lots of fun and laughs at training and at matches. We are a great team and we try our best and work hard. On November 12th we played our semi-final and WE WON !! For the first time ever a Gaelic Football team from Presentation Primary has qualified for the Cumann na mBunscol finals....GO PRES!!!!

We played our final against Belgrove on December 17th and we were beaten by one point. It was a really exciting match . Hundreds of supporters travelled to Croke Park to cheer us on . Everybody made banners and sang their hearts out. It was a great day !
