Santry 2011

On June 1st we participated in santry sports. We entered the sprints and relay events for the under tens, the under elevens, the under twelves and the under thirteen and a half. Girls were selceted from heats in the whole school. The girls trained with Ms. O'Reilly, Ms. Coughlan, Ms. o Donoghue and Ms Neville after school in the VEC grounds. In santry we got through the heats to some of the sprint and relay finals. Our under twelve team won third place in the relay final. Fantastic work girls. It was a very exciting day.

Santry Sports 2010

Our school took part in Santry Sports. We had four teams: under 10, under 11, under 12 and under 13. We trained after school in the VEC grounds. We took part in the sprint and relay events. We got through to the finals of the under 10 and under 12 relays. Dearbhaile and Ruth both won heats to qualify for the sprint final. It was a great day. Well done girls.!
	We were exhausted after our day but we can't wait to go again next year!

Santry Sports 07

On Thursday June 7th 24 girls from Presentation Terenure went to Santry for running events. We first of all took part in the parade and marched proudly behind our banner. There were 4 different age groups and we took part in relays and individual sprints. 4 runners ran in the relay and one runner ran in the sprint. Two of our teams came home with silver medals; the U11s and the U13s. We're very proud of them!
Even though the other teams didn't win a medal they ran brilliantly! We also won 2 bronze medals in the individual events ; Aisling Dunne in the U11s and Rachel Wreck in the U12s. We couldn't have done it without the support of all the parents and the teachers Ms. Neville, Ms. O'Donoghue, Ms. Coughlan and Ms Gibbons. We were all delighted to go especially as we got a day off school! by Grace K. 5th Class

Medals Galore at Santry Sports!

On May 24th we participated in Santry Sports. It began with a parade around the track. Every school had their own colourful banners and songs. The first races we were in were the individual sprints. The heats were really fast and unfortunately we didn't win anything. But we did fantastically well in the relay races. The under 10 team came 2nd and won silver medals. The under 13 team won bronze and the under 12 team came first and got a big cup as well as gold medals. It was a lovely day and we had great fun . We were really proud of our success!
