Sports Day 2011

On the 15th June we had our sports day in the VEC grounds. It was a nice day for it. It was very cloudy, it looked like it was going to rain but the sun came out for us! Everyone was so excited. We did the sack race, sprint, three- legged race, egg and spoon race and over under. The senior classes played gamble and rounders after their races. The next day the medals were given out. In the junior end of the school the yellow team won and in the senior end the red team won. After that everyone got HB ice- cream from Down Syndrome Ireland. Emma O'Driscoll came in to us and gave us the ice-cream. Thanks to the Parents' Association for buying the medals. We had a great day!!!

Sports Day 2010

We had our school sports in the VEC grounds on June 14th. It was the first time in years that the sun was shining for us. We had lots of team races. The blue team won in the Junior section of the school and the yellow team won in the senior classes. Ms. Hume said that the scores for each team were very very close. The next day the winning teams were presented with a gold medal and everyone else received a silver medal. The medals were provided by the Parents' Association. We also got ice-cream from the Parents' Association as part of fund raising for Down Syndrome. There was even a bouncey castle for us. We had a fantastic day. Many thanks to Ms. O' Reilly and her committee for organising the day.

School Sports Day 2007

On June 14th our school sports day was held in the VEC grounds. The whole school had been divided in to 5 teams; red, blue, yellow, green and white. Although the weather was against us, our school carried on with the races. When we were finished we went back to school and the Parents Association were ready with ice-cream for us. On Tuesday the results were announced. We all went down to the Nano Nagle Hall and we waited in our colour teams. Ms. Hume announced that the yellow team came first but they only beat the whites by a few points. Well done to all the teams!
